As Inventory Manager of Alderson Enterprises, I manage an multi-million dollar inventory. I work directly with our management and sales teams to ensure our clients have the best, most desirable automobiles to select from. Every day is rewarding as I get to see the look on our clients faces when they take delivery of the car of their dreams!
I am a native to West Texas and attended Texas Tech University. My love for Lubbock grows each and every day. While I love to travel, it always feels so good to come home to our incredible little, BIG city.
My greatest desire is volunteering! My love for volunteering began by being raised by parents who have a strong belief in blessing others and giving back. This has developed my passion for helping others and becoming so involved with organizations around our Lubbock community. In addition, I have an extremely supportive husband, Calvin Davis, who has the same goals and views when it comes to our love for serving others. My husband and I were recently recognized and presented with the External Inclusive Excellence Award for our work in diversity at Texas Tech University and in the wider community, presented by Texas Tech University.
As the Past President of the Hispanic Association of Women, I founded the Winter Gala Scholarship Benefit which has resulted in twenty women, each year, being awarded college scholarships for their academic performance and community involvement. I am ecstatic to report that this year I will chair our Seventh Annual Winter Gala Scholarship Benefit.
I am also very active with our local Susan G Komen, Lubbock Affiliate and serve as President Elect. Promoting breast cancer education and awareness has become a daily goal because knowledge and action does save lives. The work that Komen Lubbock is doing impacts each and every person in our community. We all know or know of someone who has faced this disease and I am proud to be working toward the mission of a community, and ultimately a world, without breast cancer.
I am also Past Vice President of the YWCA of Lubbock and served on the Texas Healthy Adolescent Initiative Taskforce. After implementing the strategic plan of the taskforce and YWCA staff, Lubbock received the 2011 Winning Community for top 100 best communities of young people.
I am a recipient of the “20 under 40” award, issued by the Young Professionals of Greater Lubbock and also the recipient of the “Top 20 Hispanics of Lubbock” presented by Latino Lubbock Magazine.
I am very blessed that the Alderson family’s philosophy and commitment to our community has afforded me the opportunity to carry out my passion while working as Inventory Manager of Alderson Enterprises. David Alderson not only supports and appreciates employee involvement in our community; he encourages it.
